AUBIGNÉ (Agrippa d'). Les Avantures du baron de Faeneste. Ma - Lot 174
AUBIGNÉ (Agrippa d'). Les Avantures du baron de Faeneste. Maillé, s.n. 1617. In-8, midnight blue morocco, triple gilt fillet, interior lace, garnet morocco lining, gilt edges (Ateliers Laurenchet). Third printing of the original 1617 edition, printed in Maillé by Jean Moussat. It includes only the first two parts of this novel. A third appeared in 1619, and it was not until 1630 that the first complete edition of all four parts appeared. Marginal crack skilfully restored to last leaf. Very well bound.
