RIBEMONT-DESSAIGNES, Georges. *The Emperor of China*. Publis - Lot 66
RIBEMONT-DESSAIGNES, Georges. *The Emperor of China*. Published by *Au Sans pareil*, 1921. In-8, paperback. First edition, one of 100 copies printed on Lafuma vellum. Marcel Jean’s copy, featuring a lengthy handwritten annotation on the half-title page: “Met Ribemont-Dessaignes at the Café de la Place Blanche; he had come to ask Breton for ‘Radio Interviews’—and Breton received him rather brusquely… R-D assured him of an objective collaboration in every respect—Breton was suspicious… In the end, he preferred to do these ‘Entretiens’ with Parinaud—which turned out to be nothing more than a monologue. Parinaud inserted his “questions” after the entire text had been prepared and written by Breton… etc., etc., etc... Marcel Jean.” RIBEMONT-DESSAIGNES, Georges. *L’Autruche aux yeux clos*. Published by Au Sans pareil, 1924. In-8, paperback. First edition. One of 100 copies on Lafuma vellum. Ribemont-Dessaignes is likely the author of the finest “Dada” theater.
